Have you ever wondered how our body protects itself against invading bacteria, viruses, and other diseases? We have the greatest natural fighters in our own bodies: the Immune System! This interactive and hands-on learning course provides an overview of the immune system and the different types of immune cells and factors that mediate immune responses. You will learn about immune tissues, different types of immune cells, innate immunity, adaptive immunity, chemokines and cytokines, and other immunology topics. Did you know that immune system has been used to kill cancer cells? We will also have a short overview about the ground-breaking cancer immunotherapy! Please bring a laptop to participate in our fun online modules and games.
