Who doesn’t love a gooey, crispy-breaded, warm grilled cheese? The Grilled Cheese is not only an iconic snack, but one that is rich in its opportunities to understand real-life applications of chemistry. In this course, we will do a deep-dive into how cheese is made from milk, how different cheeses are made, and what makes a cheese “meltable” enough for the perfect grilled cheese.

In high schools, there is little to no chance to learn about mental health and self-care. This will be a relaxing class, scheduled in the middle of the day, to walk through with you how to take care of your mental health. This course will also focus on methods of daily self-care to stay mentally healthy. We will learn some chair stretches, breathing exercises and good daily habits for relaxing and staying stress free.
