One of the most renowned Chinese philosophers Sun Tzu (孙子 in Chinese Characters) created a masterpiece on War Strategy and Battle Tactics---THE ART OF WAR in the "Spring and Autumn Era" of ancient China more than 2500 years ago. Although this book talks simply about the key to military victory, the thoughts inside have now completely been regarded as wisdom of facing all kinds of challenges and creating all sorts of miracles: from entrepreneurship to political campaign, and from learning to socializing. We humans dislike war, but those wisdoms collected from this very hateful stuff helps us even better at the time when we are surrounded by peace and harmony. This class will introduce some of these amazing ideas that everyone will find useful and helpful, and will deepen the understanding of students on how differently the conflicts are treated in the ideology of Chinese culture from western culture.
