In this course, I will be teaching about evolution and, specifically, how fossils support evolution. Some fossils are particularly interesting in that they provide evidence for the existence of transitional species; for example, an exciting fossil is Tiktaalik roseae, which is a species that appears to be between a fish and amphibian. As a whole, I will be discussing fossils and their significance as well as how fossils such as Tiktaalik provide evidence of transitional species. I hope that the students will leave having a greater appreciation and understanding of life’s history and evolutionary theory.
