An overview of the dysfunction of the brain and nervous system that lead to disease. The course will cover the basics of the biology of the nervous system, as well as specifics about the current understanding of diseases (such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's). Demonstrations of science technology may be given, time permitting.

An introduction to the brain, how it works, disorders of the brain and how common medicines restore function. --The course will consist of a lecture and an interactive demonstration of an EEG (balance of time from lecture).—
